NEW! Phoenix Challenge Program

The Phoenix Challenge Program was developed to combat the risks that substance abuse, gang participation, school failure and other destructive behaviors pose to Dallas area youth. The program is facilitated out of the Phoenix Project Center in North Oak Cliff for boys and girls age 12-17.

The goal of Dallas Challenge through the Phoenix Challenge Program is to help youth develop the attitudes, social and intellectual competencies and values they need to be successful; and to provide parents with the skills and resources needed to play a lead role in their child's healthy development.

Curriculum includes:

  • Community service
  • Cultural enrichment
  • Workforce preparation
  • Academic support
  • Healthy lifestyle seminars
  • Special interest groups
  • Community events
