Program Facilitator
The Lasting Connections (TLC) Program

The Program Facilitator in The Lasting Connections Program of Dallas Challenge, Inc. works area youth age 8-17 invovled with or at-risk of becoming involved with drugs/alcohol and other destructive behaviors.

This position interacts with youth and is responsible for implementing the Creating Lasting Family Connections curriculum in a group setting in various City of Dallas recreation centers. The position is also responsible for intervention counseling with necessary documentation in addition to administration of the drug prevention curriculum.

The goal of the program is to help children and their families learn to make healthy life decisions and acheive their fullest potential by increasing their resistance to drugs and alcohol and through developing the appropriate skills for effective interpersonal communication among family members.

Preferred Applicants:
-Have a BA/BS degree or higher in social work/psychology/counseling or related field.
-Be Bilingual (Spanish/English)
-Licensed LCDC or CPS certified
-Have at least one year exerience in a related field

Successful candidates will:
Have experience in working with youth and families;
Be able to communicate effectively;
Be an excellent role model for young men and women;
Possess good judgement and the ability to work independently;
Meet production goals and other outcome measures;
Mangage multiple priorities simultaneously.
