NEW! Steps for Success

The Steps for Success project seeks to help students discover how their education impacts their future and to make a concrete connection between the skills they are learning in school and those needed to be successful in a global economy.

Steps for Success will provide students who have excessive absences with the educational support they need to regain appropriate academic standing, engage students identified as at-risk of dropping out of school in a positive development program that focuses on personal financial literacy and workforce preparation, and prevent further penetration of truants into the juvenile justice and/or court system.

Steps for Success, funded by a grant of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Act Fund awarded by Governor Rick Perry's Criminal Justice Division, operates out of the Phoenix Project Center in North Oak Cliff.
